1. Agreement and acknowledgement

These Terms of Use and End-User License Agreement (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and MJH Ventures LLC (“MJH Ventures,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) concerning Bible Lock, biblelockapp.com, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

For an app obtained from the Apple App Store, these Terms are between you and MJH Ventures LLC, not Apple. For an app obtained from Google Play, these Terms are between you and MJH Ventures LLC, not Google. We, not Apple or Google, are solely responsible for Bible Lock and its content, subject to the platform-specific provisions below.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally permitted to use the Service and enter into this agreement. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf. You may not use the Service where prohibited by law.

3. License and usage rules

Bible Lock is licensed, not sold. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use Bible Lock for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and applicable app-store usage rules.

For Apple devices, the license is limited to Apple-branded products you own or control and use permitted by the Apple Media Services Usage Rules, including access through Family Sharing or volume purchasing where Apple permits it. For Android devices, use must comply with the Google Play Terms of Service and applicable Google Play rules.

4. App blocking and device permissions

Bible Lock helps you manage distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time framework on iOS and Android system APIs and permissions on Android. Features may vary by device, operating-system version, permission state, region, and platform restrictions.

You choose which apps to block, when blocking is active, and which permissions to grant. You are responsible for reviewing permissions before enabling them and may change or revoke them in device settings. Revoking a required permission may prevent a feature from working.

You should not rely on Bible Lock as an emergency, safety-critical, parental-surveillance, medical, or security system. Device or operating-system changes may temporarily or permanently affect blocking behavior.

5. Subscriptions, free trials, and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. The price, billing period, trial availability, and renewal terms presented on the purchase screen at the time of purchase are part of these Terms.

• iOS purchases are billed to your Apple ID by the Apple App Store.
• Android purchases are billed to your Google account by Google Play.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal deadline shown by the applicable app store.
• A free trial, if offered, converts to a paid subscription unless canceled before the trial ends.
• Deleting the app or revoking permissions does not cancel a subscription.
• Prices may change with advance notice and any consent required by the applicable store or law.

You can manage or cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play subscription settings. Billing, refunds, cancellations, and payment disputes are administered by the store through which you purchased, subject to that store's policies and applicable consumer law. Canceling stops future renewal but does not ordinarily refund the current billing period unless the store or law provides otherwise.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent applicable law expressly permits.
• Interfere with, overload, disable, damage, or bypass security or access controls.
• Use the Service to violate law, third-party rights, app-store rules, or telecommunications and data-service agreements.
• Resell, sublicense, rent, lend, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without written authorization.
• Use automated methods to access, scrape, test, or disrupt our systems without permission.
• Misrepresent affiliation with Bible Lock or MJH Ventures LLC.

7. Scripture and third-party services

Bible translations, Scripture text, operating-system features, app-store services, subscription infrastructure, analytics, and other third-party materials or services may be governed by separate licenses and terms. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Bible Lock.

Third-party services may change or become unavailable independently of us. We are not responsible for examining or guaranteeing third-party content, availability, accuracy, privacy, or performance. Bible Lock is a faith and focus tool and does not replace professional medical, mental-health, legal, or pastoral advice.

8. Ownership and feedback

The Service, including its software, design, branding, text, graphics, original content, and all associated intellectual-property rights, is owned by MJH Ventures LLC or its licensors. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.

If you voluntarily provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right to use them without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and is incorporated into these Terms. Your use of device permissions and third-party platforms is also subject to their privacy controls and terms.

10. Maintenance, support, and updates

MJH Ventures LLC is solely responsible for maintenance and support required by applicable law. Apple and Google have no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Bible Lock. Support requests may be sent to hello@biblelockapp.com.

We may add, modify, update, suspend, or discontinue features. Updates may be required for continued use. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available on every device, platform, operating-system version, or region.

11. Warranty disclaimer and app-store remedies

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, QUIET ENJOYMENT, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that blocking will work in every circumstance, or that use will produce a particular spiritual, behavioral, productivity, or wellness outcome. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so those exclusions may not apply to you.

For an Apple App Store purchase, if Bible Lock fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by Apple's rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. MJH Ventures LLC is responsible for any other warranty claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to a failure to conform to an applicable warranty.

12. Product and intellectual-property claims

MJH Ventures LLC, not Apple or Google, is responsible for addressing claims relating to Bible Lock or your possession and use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer-protection, privacy, or similar laws.

If a third party claims that Bible Lock or your authorized use infringes that party's intellectual-property rights, MJH Ventures LLC, not Apple or Google, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim, to the extent required by applicable law.

13. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MJH VENTURES LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, LICENSORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, OR USE; OR SERVICE INTERRUPTION ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US THROUGH THE APPLICABLE APP STORE FOR BIBLE LOCK DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100.

These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, and they do not affect mandatory consumer rights.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MJH Ventures LLC and its owners, employees, contractors, and licensors from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This section does not apply where prohibited by consumer law.

15. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time, but must separately cancel any subscription. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Service, create legal or security risk, or where required by law. Your license ends upon termination. Provisions intended by their nature to survive will remain effective.

16. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple has the right, and is deemed to have accepted the right, to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and that you are not listed on a United States Government prohibited or restricted party list. You may not export or re-export Bible Lock except as authorized by United States law and the laws where the app was obtained.

Nothing in these Terms conflicts with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions or applicable Usage Rules; those mandatory rules control where applicable.

17. Google Play-specific terms

If you obtained Bible Lock through Google Play, your use is also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and applicable policies. Google is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Bible Lock, maintenance, support, warranties, or claims relating to Bible Lock, except as required by law.

You can manage or cancel a Google Play subscription through Google Play's subscription-management tools. Uninstalling Bible Lock does not cancel a subscription.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, you and MJH Ventures LLC consent to the state and federal courts located in Mississippi for disputes arising from these Terms or the Service. If the laws of your residence give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere or apply different mandatory law, those rights are preserved.

19. General terms

These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us concerning the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified only as necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or by operation of law. We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Bible Lock, app-store requirements, or law changes. We will post revised Terms here, update the effective date, and provide additional notice or obtain consent when required. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
